Wood

Wood tops are organic and each piece is unique to the wood species chosen. The wood can be manufactured to have a repeat , striated pattern, or just utilize it's natural vein and color variation. Any of the wood options can be used for the whole space or just as an accent piece. 

Butcher block: Wooden countertops that come in several types of woods, like maple, cherry, walnut and oak can be fashioned in different styles. These are typically inches thick and great for chopping block usage. 

Live Edge: Wooden countertops which incorporate the natural edge of wood into the creative planning process. The imperfections in live edge wood countertops help make them one-of-a-kind pieces. 

If wood tops are going to be used for food prep, they will need to be sealed with a food-safe sealer. Depending on the usage, you may need to upkeep the top with continued sealing. 

Wood warms any space and is incredibly welcoming and calming, bringing the elements of nature indoors.
